Being live on television almost never goes as planned. Between curious animals, technical glitches and children who wander in front of the camera at the worst possible moment, dozens of presenters around the world have lived through moments they never could have imagined, and that viewers have never forgotten.
WAS THAT AN ALIEN?
During a live weather report on Fox59, anchor Jennifer Ketchmark had the scare of her career. The sky over Indianapolis was perfectly clear, and the shot seemed ideal for the background. Then a huge hornet landed directly on the camera lens, magnified on screen until it looked like a creature from another planet. Ketchmark leapt out of frame screaming, unable to keep a straight face at the sight of it. Once the segment ended, she came back on camera to explain herself, admitting that her reaction would end up in every blooper reel on the internet. She wasn’t wrong: the clip went around the internet within hours, becoming one of the most shared weather moments of the year.
